Scientific Conference of OGSB held
SMC participated in and sponsored the 24th scientific conference of the Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Bangladesh (OGSB) held during November 26 - 27, 2015 in Cox’s Bazar. SMC and OGSB have been working closely to build capacity of OGSB providers in the safe and effective delivery of long acting reversible contraceptive methods - IUDs and Implants and in motivating the providers to promote these methods to their clients. More than 600 OBGYNs including participants from various countries attended the conference. At a display booth in the conference, SMC showcased brands and promotional materials under its LARC and Injectable product categories. Managing Director & CEO of SMC Mr. Ashfaq Rahman made a presentation titled “Expanded Use of LARC Methods through the Support of OBGYN in the Private Sector.” Among others, General Secretary of OGSB Dr. Farhana Dewan and General Manager, Program Mr. Toslim Uddin Khan also spoke at the conference.
