SMC continues its efforts to engage Obstetricians and Gynecologists (OBGYNs) to offer Long-Acting Reversible Contraceptives (LARC) through their private facilities. SMC organized three experience sharing and performance review meetings in Sylhet, Rajshahi and Bogura regions with the Pink Star Providers. The major issues of these events were to evaluate the performance of the LARC administration, share the best practices and discuss the way forward. The best performers were also acknowledged at the events.

Among others, Md. Kutub Uddin, Joint Secretary and Director, Family Planning, Sylhet Division and Professor Dr. Dilip Kumar Bhowmik, President, OGSB Sylhet Branch were present at the event of Sylhet. Md. Mahbub Alam, Director, Family Planning, Rajshahi Division, Dr. Abu Sayeed Mohammad Faruk, Civil Surgeon, Rajshahi, Professor Dr. Rokeya Khatun, President and Professor Dr. Sahela Jesmin, Secretary-General of OGSB, Rajshahi Branch joined the Rajshahi event. On the other hand, Dr. Gulshan Ara, President and Professor Dr. Akhtari Hossain Chowdhury, Secretary General, OGSB, Bogura Branch attended the Bogura event. On behalf of SMC, Dr. Salah Uddin Ahmed, Head of Training and Service Delivery graced the events.
