As part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibilities, SMC’s Bogra Area office has extended support to the flood affected people of Sariakandi Upazilla, Bogra. Water in the flood-affected areas of the District has been heavily contaminated with pollutants carried by the flood water, causing severe diarrhea to the local poor people.

To help improve the situation, SMC has stepped in by donating 1,200 sachets of ORSaline-N to Bogra District Chapter of Bangladesh Chemists and Druggists Samity (BCDS) on September 4, 2014. Sales Manager of SMC Bogra Area Office Mr. Quazi Md. Jafrullah handed over the sachets to the President of BCDS, who later arranged to distribute them among 500 flood-affected people along with other relief items. Secretary General of BCDS and other officials of SMC were present at the occasion.
