Mr. Waliul Islam, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SMC and SMC EL along with Board Directors and senior management visited Bhabanipur to see the progress of construction work of the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) Factory on October 15, 2022. Mr. Muhammed Ali, Director of SMC and SMC EL Board, Engineer Md. Siddique Ullah, Director of SMC and SMC EL Board, Mr. Siddiqur Rahman Choudhury, Director of SMC EL Board, Dr. Yasmin H Ahmed, Director of SMC Board and Professor Dr. Farhana Dewan, Director of SMC Board observed the progress of work along with the Chairman. Mr. Toslim Uddin Khan, MD & CEO and Mr. Abdul Haque, MD, SMC EL accompanied the Board Directors. Mr. Masum Ahmed Jaigirdar, Chief Engineer of SMC elaborated the project updates through a presentation. Later, the Chairman and the Board of Directors visited ORS Factory of SMC at Bhaluka and observed the new production facilities of MoniMix, quality assurance (QC) unit, micro-biological lab and biological production facilities. 

Later on October 22, 2022, Mr. Islam visited the Health and Hygiene (H&H) Factory of SMC in Cumilla to observe the existing and new production facilities. Director of SMC and SMC EL Board, Mr. Muhammed Ali, Mr. Md. Siddique Ullah and Dr. Jahir Uddin Ahmed accompanied the Chairman during the visit. The team also visited the quality control laboratories, warehouse, newly constructed medical center, child care and other facilities at the factory premises. Mr. Ohiduzzaman Khan, Additional General Manager, Health and Hygiene Factory made a presentation depicting the overall updates of the Cumilla factory. They also visited the newly procured 80 decimal land that has been purchased to establish Cumilla Area Office and SMC Clinic. Mr. Toslim Uddin Khan, MD & CEO, Mr. Abdul Haque, MD of SMC EL and other senior officials of SMC and SMC EL also accompanied the dignitaries during their visit to Cumilla. Mr. Islam and other Directors appreciated the operational standard of the state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities and the construction progress as well.
