SMC launched an emergency contraceptive pill branded as Norix in February 2013. Norix is two tablets ECP formulation each tablet containing 0.75 mg. of Levonorgestrel hormone. The first tablet must be taken within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse and the second tablet within 12 hours after the first tablet to protect from an unwanted pregnancy.

As part of launch, SMC placed a half page press campaign in four major Bengali daily newspapers as well as billboards located in strategic locations around Bangladesh.
