Rangpur Area Office promotes personal hygiene among lady constables
The Rangpur Area Office of SMC EL arranged a session on ‘Personal Hygiene’ with the Trainee Lady Constables at the Police Training Centre in Rangpur on July 11, 2018. More than 1,200 lady constables attended the session. Dr. Munira Begum, Lecturer of Rangpur Medical College was present as the Keynote Speaker of the session. Traditionally, girls and young ladies from the lower middle income group are less familiar with the concept of menstruation management.
Dr. Munira elaborately discussed the hygiene concept, social barriers and threats of unhygienic management during menstrual cycles. The program was inaugurated by Mr. M. Mahbub Alam, PPM, Additional DIG and Commandant of the Police Training Center, Rangpur. He expressed his gratitude and thanked SMC for arranging such an essential and important program. He also requested SMC to continue the training program for the greater interest of the nation. Among others, officials of SMC’s Rangpur Area Office and the Police Training Centre attended the program.
