SMC recognized Blue Star Providers in the Regional Meeting at Cox’s Bazar
SMC organized a regional meeting with Blue Star Providers (BSPs) on September 15, 2018 in Cox’s Bazar. A total of 180 Blue Star Providers from Cox’s Bazar, Rangamati, Khagrachhari and Bandarban districts attended the event. Objectives of the meeting were to share best practices with each other, recognize good providers and find out ways forward to improve performance. SMC recognized eight BSPs for their good performances over the last one year. They shared their experiences and best practices in the meeting. Blue Star providers participated in the event actively and put forward some suggestions to make the network more effective in future. The effect of Rohingya influx in the local community and how to address it, was also discussed in the meeting.
Mr. Siddiqur Rahman Choudhury, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SMC and SMC Enterprise Ltd attended the meeting as the chief guest. Mr. Md. Ali Reza Khan, MD & CEO, SMC; Mr. Toslim Uddin Khan, Chief of Program Operations, SMC and other high officials were also present at the meeting. The meeting was very instrumental in mutual learning and increasing the motivation of the Blue Star providers which in turn would help increase the overall program performance of the region.
