Ambassador Miller visits a SMC Blue Star pharmacy in Sylhet

H. E. Earl R. Miller, the Ambassador of the United States to Bangladesh, visited an SMC Blue Star pharmacy named M/s Kashem Pharmacy owned by Mr. Md. Abdul Baten Rayhan on September 3, 2019. The Blue Star pharmacy is located at Pirpur Tuker Bazar under Sylhet City Corporation in Sylhet. On his arrival at the outlet, the U. S. Ambassador was received by Mr. Toslim Uddin Khan, Chief of Program Operations of SMC along with his other colleagues. He appraised the ambassador about the activities of the Blue Star Program which is funded by USAID under its MISHD prorgam. Ambassador Miller expressed his satsfaction to see the various SMC products available at the pharmacy including a full range of family planning products, ORS (Oral Rehydration Salts) and the diversified nutrition supplements for infants and children, reproductive health and sanitary napkins. The ambassador also praised SMC for its success as a major contributor to the Bangladesh national health and family planning program.
