SMC Programs visited by USAID Delegates
A team from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Bangladesh and SMC officials visited two Blue Star outlets (Syed Pharmacy at Raja Para and Rana Pharmacy at Puthia, Rajshahi) on June 12, 2022. They also visited one Green Star outlet (Shyam Pharmacy, BoaliaUpazilla, Rajshahi) on the same day.
On June 13, 2022, the visiting team met one Gold Star Member (GSM) at Gurudashpur Union of Natore District and talked with her to know their experience with this network. They also visited another GSM's house to see their product storing facilities. The team observed a courtyard session where 34 Married Women of reproductive Age (MWRA) attended. The USAID representatives include Ms. Kelly Lynch, Communication Specialist, OPHN, USAID, Dr. Fida Mehran, Health Specialist, PHN USAID and Ms. Rista Farzana, OPHNE, USAID. USAID team appreciated field level program activities and acknowledged the contribution of different network providers in the national health and family planning program. Amongst the SMC officials, Mr. Moshiur Rahman, Additional General Manager, Program Operations, Dr. Salah Uddin Ahmed, Head of Training and Service Delivery and Mr. QuaziMohdJafarullah, Head of North-South Region were present during the visit.
