Annual General Meeting of SMC and SMC EL held
The 34th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of SMC was held on January 23, 2023 at the Company Head Office in Dhaka. The AGM received, adopted and ratified the Directors’ Report and the Auditor’s Report for the Financial Year 2021-22 and appointed auditors for the Financial Year 2022-23. Mr. Waliul Islam, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SMC, presided over the meeting. Company Members, Managing Director and CEO of SMC along with senior officials of the company were present in the meeting. The Company Members expressed deep condolence at the sad demise of Mrs. Ruby Ghuznavi, Company Member and former Director of SMC. Conveying profound grief to the family members of the deceased, the Company Members prayed to Almighty Allah to rest her departed soul in peace and give her family the forbearance and strength to bear this irreparable loss."
On the same day, the 8th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of SMC Enterprise Limited (SMC EL) was also held at the Company Head Office in Dhaka. The AGM received, adopted and ratified the Directors’ Report and the Auditor’s Report for the Financial Year 2021-22 and appointed auditors for the Financial Year 2022-23. Mr. Waliul Islam, Chairman of the Board of Directors of SMC EL, presided over the meeting. The meeting was attended by the Company Members, Directors and the then Managing Director of SMC EL along with the senior officials of the Company."
