Experience Sharing Meeting with GSM
Currently more than 3,000 women entrepreneurs have been involved with the Gold Star Members' (GSM) network who disseminate health messages and sell SMC's public health products at the doorsteps of the community in 104 upazilas and four City Corporation areas (peri-urban) of the country. SMC organized six events of experience sharing meeting with GSMs and field level staff during January to March, 2023 to let them tell their success stories and challenges they came across so that SMC can strategize better to move forward. On February 11, 2023, the first event was held with 177 GSMs at Delduar, Tangail. The meeting was addressed, among others, by Mr. Muhammed Farhad Hussain FCA, Director, SMC and SMC EL Board, Mr. Toslim Uddin Khan, MD and CEO, SMC and Dr. Ladly Faiz, Executive Director of CWFD incluidng senior officials of SMC. Mr. Khan talked to the GSMs and encouraged them to be the role model in their communities as successful entrepreneurs. Talking to the GSMs and field level staff, Mr. Hussain thanked SMC Management for organizing such a wonderful event at Delduar, Tangail. The remaining five similar events were held at Srimangal, Sylhet Sadar, Bhandaria, Lakhsmipur sadar and Jhenaidah with overwhelming participation of GSMs in a festive mood.
