International Women’s Day 2023
SMC and SMC EL have jointly celebrated the International Women's Day 2023 in Dhaka on March 09, 2023. Alongside SMC Head Office, the event was also celebrated at ORS Factory (Bhaluka), Health and Hygiene Factory (Cumilla) including all Area Offices across the country. The participating female employees irrespective of their positions were greeted with flowers and special gifts. Senior officials of SMC Head Office joined the event and shared their thoughts echoing this year's theme-‘Embrace Equity'. Mr. Toslim Uddin Khan, MD and CEO, SMC was present in the Head Office event along with the mid and senior level officials of both the companies. Recognizing the contribution of the female employees to the company, Mr. Khan said the emotional intelligence, passion and helpful nature of women employees may bring positive changes in the workplace and thereby organization could have benefited out of it.
