FMCG Project Visit by the Board Directors
Mr. Waliul Islam, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of SMC and SMC EL, together with Board Directors Mr. Muhammed Ali, Mr. Siddiqur Rahman Choudhury, Dr. Jahir Uddin Ahmed, and A K M Aftab ul Islam FCA, visited Bhabanipur, Gazipur on March 20, 2023 to assess the ongoing construction progress of SMC EL's FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) factory project. Mr. Toslim Uddin Khan, the Managing Director & CEO, Mr. Feroze-Ul Alam, the Deputy Managing Director of Operations, Mr. Masum Ahmed Jaigirdar, the Chief Engineer, and other members of the senior management team were present with the Board Directors. During the visit, Mr. Jaigirdar presented an overview of the project's overall progress and provided specific details regarding the construction work. The initial phase of the project encompasses the Production Building, Central Warehouse, Admin & Utility building, and Guard Barrack. Spanning a land area of 11.18 acres, the project commenced on June 20, 2022, with an anticipated completion date of June 30, 2024. The Board Directors became happy to see the construction progress and quality work. They further emphasized to increase the monitoring visits of the senior management for ensuring the quality of work.
