Participation in the International Scientific Conference of OGSB
SMC actively participated in the 31st International Scientific Conference organized by the Obstetrical and Gynecological Society of Bangladesh (OGSB) from June 9 to 10, 2023, at BICC, Dhaka. Esteemed Obstetricians and Gynecologists (OBGYNs) from various countries and from different parts of Bangladesh attended this significant event. During the conference, SMC took the opportunity to promote the Long-acting Reversible Contraceptive (LARC) and FullCare, SMC's branded Multiple Micronutrient Supplements (MMS). Dr. Salah Uddin Ahmed, Additional General Manager, Training & Service Delivery of SMC delivered a compelling presentation on the role of LARC (SMC branded LARC are Relax and i-plant) and MMS/FullCare in enhancing maternal health and reducing the prevalence of low birth weight babies. The OBGYNs greatly appreciated the discussion led by Dr. Salah Uddin Ahmed, expressing their positive responses and acknowledging the valuable insights.
There was a provision of setting up stall in the conference premises where SMC had a stall to orient OBGYNs about SMC's effort on maternal and child health issues specially on LARC service and MMS. Around 500 OBGYNs visited SMC stall who were oriented on LARC and MMS. A group of dedicated staff from SMC seating at stall responded the queries of OBGYNs on LARC and MMS. Some of the OBGYNs had showed their interest in written form to participate in the training of SMC on LARC/MMS. Finally, they received a gift box with different promotional items and products from the stall relevant to them.
