Scientific Seminar on MMS
SMC introduced ‘FullCare', the Multiple Micronutrient Supplement (MMS) brand, to reduce low birth weight (LBW) baby by replacing iron and folic acid (IFA) gradually. As a part of this initiative, SMC consistently advocates for the widespread adoption of FullCare among graduate doctors in Bangladesh. According to WHO, MMS has been scientifically proven to enhance maternal nutrition status and reduce the risk of LBW. In order to underscore the importance of MMS to doctors and other medical practitioners, SMC has been diligently organizing Scientific Seminars across the country. These seminars serve to highlight the numerous benefits and efficacy of MMS (FullCare) for pregnant women, while also shedding light on the prevailing nutritional deficiencies among children and expectant mothers of our country. From April to June '23, SMC successfully organized a total of 57 scientific seminars participated by 3,579 medical professionals including doctors and medical officers, hosted in various Upazila Health Complexes throughout the country.
