SMC organizes Fire Drill at regular intervals in its complexes to comply with the organizational fire safety procedures. The Administration department of SMC organized a Fire Drill in SMC Tower in June 2022. Mr. Shahidul Islam, Warehouse Inspector, Fire Service and Civil Defense, Banani Area facilitated the drill with a short briefing session held on the ground floor of the tower. Each floor has a ‘Fire Fighting Team' including SMC and its tenants who are trained with some basic evacuation and firefighting training. The Administration department shared a soft version of the handbook related to techniques of fire fighting with all employees of SMC and the tenants through emails. A similar type of Fire Drill was organized in February 2022 at SMC Tower-2 where Mr. Md. Nurul Haque, Station Officer (in-charge), Fire Service and Civil Defense, Kallyanpur was present as a resource person and the drill facilitator.
